Contemporary archival pigment print of Harry Langdon's portrait of Diane Lane, photographed in Los Angeles in 1989.
Produced from the original photographic negative as part of the 2022 limited edition.
The print bears Milton H. Greene's embossed blind stamp in the lower right margin.
Photographed at an important moment in Diane Lane's career, this portrait was created the same year she received widespread critical acclaim for her performance in the celebrated television miniseries Lonesome Dove, which marked her successful return to major Hollywood productions. In the years that followed she appeared in films including Chaplin (1992), The Perfect Storm (2000) and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her acclaimed performance in Unfaithful (2002).
Harry Langdon is internationally recognised for his portraits of actors, musicians and cultural icons. His photographs are represented in numerous public and private collections.
