Art Deco glass table lamp dating from the 20th century, in green verre with a gold-toned metal base and diffuser, measuring 13 cm wide, 13 cm deep and 21 cm high, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Art Deco lamp in molded glass and gilded bronze
Elegant Art Deco table lamp, remarkable for its imposing transparent molded glass diffuser, with strongly defined geometric lines. Its faceted silhouette, composed of polygonal panels and angular reliefs, powerfully evokes the architectural aesthetics of the 1920s–1930s.
The diffuser rests on a circular mount in gold-toned metal with an antique patina, worked in successive terraces. The generous proportions of the base provide good stability to the whole, while the contrast between the transparency of the glass and the warmth of the metal underscores its decorative character.
The glass, thick and carefully molded, creates subtle plays of light when the lamp is lit, highlighting its edges and facets. The whole reflects a pronounced taste for geometric shapes, emblematic of the Art Deco movement.
Style: Art Deco
Type: table lamp / accent lamp
Materials: molded glass and gilded metal
Color: clear crystal and gilded bronze
Era: circa 1920–1930, stylistic attribution
Design: geometric, architectural and faceted
Condition: good vintage condition, with patina and visible signs of use on the metal mount, consistent with the piece’s age
A decorative piece with a strong character, where the geometric rigor of the glass meets the warm elegance of the gilded metal, in the purest spirit of Art Deco lighting.
