Omega Seamaster Automatic Chronometer 200M ref. 368.1042 - Full Set - 1989
I am offering for sale a splendid Omega Seamaster Automatic Chronometer 200M ref. 368.1042, purchased new on August 31, 1989 from the official Omega dealer Lyons Jewellers (Croydon, United Kingdom).
The watch has completely traceable provenance: it was bought new by my uncle and has always remained in the same family. Subsequently it passed into my possession through family inheritance.
This is a full-set example, complete with:
* original Omega box;
* outer box;
* document holder;
* original warranty card filled in in 1989;
* service documentation;
* original hands replaced during the last service.
The watch has undergone two major revisions, in 2021 and 2026. The latest one, costing €550, included a full movement service, replacement of the hands, waterproofing test, and general inspection. It passed both waterproof tests.
The movement is original Omega, in excellent condition, never modified or altered. The watch has also been kept for many years in a safe, contributing to the excellent overall state of preservation.
The case still retains excellent geometries, the dial is original with a splendid uniform patina of the indices, the bezel is very well preserved and the original bracelet shows minimal wear.
This model represents one of the most interesting Seamaster “Pre-Bond” models, produced before the introduction of the famous Seamaster Professional 300M series of the 1990s. Complete automatic examples with the original accessories are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
