Blue cobalt glazed faience cylindrical vase by Boch Frères Keramis (BFK), Belgium, circa 1900, 7 cm wide, 7 cm deep, 16 cm high, in good used condition with minor age-related marks.
Description from the seller
Linda is a rare jar from the prestigious Boch Freres Keramic brand. Dated between 1890 and 1910. In very good condition, with only very light wear to the decorative painting
Rare and elegant cylindrical vase ("vase rouleau") in cobalt blue glazed earthenware, produced by the prestigious Belgian manufactory Boch Frères Keramis (BFK) at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.
The piece features a richly elaborate decoration with Orientalist and Art Nouveau influences.
The upper section is adorned with a wide gold band, displaying intricate arabesques and interlaced botanical motifs.
The central body is highlighted by a symmetric floral medallion, meticulously hand-painted with raised enamel (droplets) in baby blue and white, simulating inlay stones or pearls.
On the base, it bears the handwritten red signature "BFK", the model/pattern number "229" and a dry-stamped number engraved in the mass, guaranteeing the piece’s total authenticity.
An excellent opportunity for collectors of antique European ceramics.
