Historical document of the Provisional Government of Venice, dated October 23, 1848, containing a war bulletin and a decree signed by Daniele Manin, Graziani, and Cavedalis. Printed in Bologna on October 27, 1848. Tiocchi Typography. Width: 21.50 cm – Height: 28 cm.
Content of the document:
• On the left the War Bulletin of October 23, 1848 with the chronicle of clashes and military operations between Venetian units and Austrian troops, citing locations such as Cavallino. The page describes the operations conducted by Colonel D'Amigo and the management of volunteers from Hungary in the service of the Republic. The document is signed by Zennari as Secretary General.
• On the right the decree of the Provisional Government which formalizes the union of the Hungarian volunteers present in Venice with the local forces for the common cause of national independence.
• The signatures at the bottom of the government members: Manin, Graziani and Cavedalis.
