FRANK E G M - “Etica de un recuerdo” (XL)

Frank González Martínez (Cuba, 1990) has found in painting a territory where personal experience transcends the autobiographical to become a reflection on the human condition. His artistic practice arises from the need to understand concepts such as freedom, identity, and memory, building a pictorial language in which gesture, matter, and color act as vehicles of emotion and thought.

From a perspective deeply linked to the migratory experience, his work questions what remains of a person when they are forced to leave their country, their landscape, their family, and the affections that have defined their history. Rather than representing places, González Martínez paints states of consciousness.
