Cristina Paolini presents an oil on canvas landscape titled 'Meriggiare pallido e assorto', 20x20 cm, 2025, original edition, sold with a black frame, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
Meriggiare pallido e assorto... thus begins one of the most beautiful poems by Eugenio Montale, and these words echoed in my mind as I painted the canvas. A solitary cloud passes over the Tuscan countryside on a hot summer afternoon, the kind of day when you seek refreshment, accompanied by the cheerful chirping of cicadas.
The painting, oil on canvas 20x20 cm, is sold with a black gallery-style frame as in the photo and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
I was born and raised in a family deeply immersed in art and, from a young age, I developed a strong bond with painting.
I favor oil painting, through which I explore evocative and suspended atmospheres: misty landscapes, stormy skies, lands bathed by rain, and my great love, the sea. The aim is to convey a deep emotion, a sense of inner calm, inviting the viewer into a space suspended between reality and imagination.
I live and work in Grosseto, in the Tuscan Maremma, a land rich in visual impressions, which represents a constant reference for me and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for my paintings.
