Joan Miró – Liljevalchs, Stockholm – Original lithographic poster – 1972

Original period lithographic poster made for the solo exhibition of Joan Miró held at Liljevalchs Konsthall, Stockholm, from September 30 to October 29, 1972.

The poster features a characteristic Miró composition, with organic figures, stars and graphic signs in black, red, green and blue on a gray background. The image was originally used in the same year for the exhibition “Sobreteixims i escultures” at Sala Gaspar in Barcelona and later adapted for this Swedish exhibition.

At the top appears the name “Liljevalchs” and at the bottom “October 1972”.

Original exhibition lithographic poster, not a modern reproduction. Unknown edition. It is not hand-signed nor numbered.

Condition: fair, in keeping with its age and use. It shows various tears, creases, wrinkles, waviness and small losses along the margins, especially on the upper edge and on both sides. It also has a more noticeable tear on the right margin and creases in the corners. The central image is complete and retains vivid colors.
