Exploring Emotions: Contemporary Art

“Imaginary friends” is the title of this series of paintings from 2025/2026, where the artist reproduces digital drawings made from cherished objects from his childhood. Characters from old animations, memorabilia and “memes” operate in the figure-ground scheme, either by enlarging the scales and altering the color patterns of the objects or, at times, through collage and the use of gold leaf, creating an emotional cartography that crosses belonging and graphic nostalgia.

Acrylic paint, resin, plaster, walnut extract and acrylic resin on 100% cotton canvas. Canvas dimensions 77x50.5 cm (the painting area is about 3 cm smaller on the sides).

"Imaginary friends" é o título desta série de pinturas de 2025/2026, onde o artista reproduz desenhos digitais feitos a partir de objetos de estima da sua infância. Personagens de animações antigas, memorabilia e "memes", operam no esquema "figura-fundo", seja pelo aumento das escalas e alteração dos padrões de cores dos objetos ou, por vezes, pela colagem e uso de folhas de ouro, criando uma cartografia emocional que cruza pertencimento e saudosismo gráfico.

Pintura em tinta acrílica, resina, gesso, extrato de nogueira e resina acrílica sobre tela de algodão 100%. Dimensões da tela 77x50,5 cm (a área de pintura tem 3 cm a menos nas laterais) aproximadamente.
Assinado na frente "CC26". Assinado a lápis e carimbado no verso. Acompanha certificado de autenticidade e fatura, se solicitado. 
A pintura é vendida sem moldura, enrolada e remetida (com rastreio) via transportadoras como DHL, Delnext ou CTT.

Artista e pesquisador brasileiro, Ciço Ciça (1983) vive em Portugal desde 2010, trabalha com desenho, fotografia e pintura desde 2005.  Entre 2007 e 2008 foi assistente da pintora Adriana Varejão (1964).
