I am selling this magnificent and rare dress watch from the prestigious Swiss manufacturer IWC, dating from the late 1950s. A timeless model, of great elegance, perfect for vintage watch enthusiasts with character.
Main features:
Case: 18 carat yellow gold (750/1000) round, characterized by its short and discreet lugs called "Stubby Lugs", and an integrated winding crown at 3 o'clock. Diameter: 34 mm (classic and elegant size for a vintage watch).
Dial: Silvered, domed dial with applied yellow gold indexes and yellow gold hands. Signed "International Watch Co. Schaffhausen" at 12 o'clock. Very nice light and authentic patina.
Movement: Manual winding mechanical, Caliber historical 401 (functions: hours, minutes, seconds).
Serial numbers: Movement no. 1406*** / Case no. 1465***
Bracelet: Brown genuine leather strap with a gold-toned tang buckle.
Overall condition (: The watch is in very good mechanical and aesthetic condition, confirmed by a recent appraisal:
Case & Bracelet: Good condition, light normal signs of wear (signs of use that add to its subtle vintage charm).
Dial: Good condition, very light natural patina attesting to its authenticity.
Functioning: All functions work perfectly.
Technical data: Excellent amplitude (around 250°) and a running rate of about +25 seconds/day (very capable for a mechanical watch of this era).
