Coffer box made of burr wood with reconstituted shading, inlaid with noble woods – 20th century

Elegant jewelry box from the 20th century, crafted in burr wood and precious timbers, enriched by a rich marquetry pattern.

The lid features a refined symmetrical decorative composition with vegetal and floral motifs, obtained by combining wood essences of different tones. The decoration continues on the front and along the edges, creating a pleasant color contrast with the warm natural grains of the burr wood.

Particularly striking is the use of wood, deliberately left expressive also inside: knots, color variations and natural irregularities of the fiber give the box an authentic character and make every surface different from the next.

The interior is organized on two levels, with a removable upper tray divided into several compartments, ideal for storing jewels, small valuables, watches or personal items. Once the tray is removed, access is gained to the spacious lower compartment.

The coffer rests on four shaped feet and is complete with its key with red tassel. The lock is present and fully functional.

A decorative object of great charm, suitable both for a collection of boxes and cases and as a furnishing element. Our interior designer also recommends it placed in contemporary environments, where the richness of the wood essences and the geometry of the inlays can create an elegant contrast with more minimalist furnishings.
