Gio Mondelli is a versatile contemporary Italian artist. His painting research has focused mainly on the discovery of new techniques, styles and trends. After an academic career, his works already capture the essence of Symbolist and Surrealist painting. For a brief period he painted pieces more classical and hyperrealistic, but he was not satisfied until he became an Expressionist. Professional art critics appreciate his paintings for having a truly unique perspective on the landscape.

Gio Mondelli was born in 1953, in Italy, where he graduated from LABA Libera Accademia di Belle Arti. His works are in private collections in Belgium, Germany, France and the United States.
