Barbara Bartolomei's oil on canvas Multiverso (2026), 40 × 30 cm, signed by hand, original edition, depicts three ethereal female figures exploring identity, memory and the multiplicity of being.
Description from the seller
Multiversi is an artistic exploration of the concept of identity, memory, and the multiplicity of being. The work depicts three ethereal female figures interwoven with one another, emerging from a single primordial flow to split into parallel dimensions.
The composition plays with the symbolism of lines and color: the vivid red outline creates a visual and emotional tension with the delicate shades of the background and the warm density of the earth at the base. The bodies touch in a gesture of deep introspection and closeness, evoking the idea of an inner multiverse where every reality coexists simultaneously in a multiplicity of dimensions. The hands of the female figures rest gently at belly height. It is a call to gestation and the origin of life understood both biologically and in a creative and inner sense.
Barbara Bartolomei is a painter, lecturer in painting and drawing trained at Sacred Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Her artistic research moves between the mastery of traditional techniques and a conceptual investigation into visual perception and the philosophy of the image. Through a figurative language, her works explore the subtle boundary between tangible reality and the inner dimension. She sells works throughout Europe and outside the EU, painting both on commission and for auctions and private collectors. The paintings are finished with a protective final varnish. The materials used are non-toxic. NOTE: Oil painting on canvas. Sold without a frame: the frame visible in the rendering of the environment has been inserted purely for illustrative purposes.
The digital certificate of authenticity will be sent by email; the artwork is nonetheless authenticated with a signature and date directly on the back.
