"Imaginary friends" is the title of this series of paintings from 2025/2026, where the artist reproduces digital drawings made from objects of sentimental value from his childhood. Characters from old animations, memorabilia, and "memes" operate in the "figure-ground" scheme, either by enlarging the scales and altering the color patterns of the objects or, at times, by collage and the use of gold leaf, creating an emotional cartography that crosses belonging and graphic nostalgia.
