Giorgio Toccaceli, born in Castelfidardo, Italy, 1954
He has a background as a cartoonist for newspapers, he has participated in the Tolentino International Caricature Museum, in the Humor Biennale; his art has spread through exhibitions dedicated to him such as “Dip into Color” or “Hidden in the Canvas,” the latter taking its name from his well-known signature, that of drawing himself inside his paintings. His playful inspiration, which brings smiles, exudes sweetness and makes you reflect. His caricatures and his paintings are capable of “immortalizing” in the same gesture the feelings, virtues and vices of an entire community, contextualizing them and offering a sarcastic, yet always delicate, snapshot of society itself. Giorgio Toccaceli’s art is in constant flux and moves with flair among varied graphic lines, adapting to the times without chasing them.
