Ciço Ciça presents Imaginary friends #7 (XL), a 2026 original acrylic and mixed-media painting on 100% cotton canvas in contemporary style, signed by hand and supplied with a certificate of authenticity, measuring 123 x 96 cm (painting area slightly smaller) with unframed delivery from Portugal.
Description from the seller
"Imaginary friends" is the title of this series of paintings from 2025/2026, where the artist reproduces digital drawings made from objects of cherished memory from his childhood. Characters from old animations, memorabilia and "memes" operate in the "figure-background" scheme, either by enlarging the scales and altering the color patterns of the objects or, at times, by collage and the use of gold leaf, creating an emotional cartography that crosses belonging and graphic nostalgia.
Acrylic paint, resin, plaster, walnut extract and acrylic resin on 100% cotton canvas. Canvas dimensions 123x96 cm (the painting area is about 3 cm shorter on the sides). Signed on the front "CC26". Signed in pencil and stamped on the back. Comes with certificate of authenticity and invoice, if requested.
The painting is sold without a frame, rolled and shipped (with tracking) via carriers such as DHL, Delnext or CTT.
Brazilian artist and researcher Ciço Ciça (1983) lives in Portugal since 2010, has worked with drawing, photography and painting since 2005. Between 2007 and 2008 he was an assistant to painter Adriana Varejão (1964).
He has exhibited in Brazil, Uruguay, Portugal and Spain. For more information: www.sapatapress.com
