"Imaginary friends" is the title of this series of paintings from 2025/2026, where the artist reproduces digital drawings made from cherished objects from his childhood. Characters from old animations, memorabilia and "memes" operate in the figure-ground scheme, whether by enlarging the scales and altering the color patterns of the objects or, at times, by collage and the use of gold leaf, creating an emotional cartography that crosses belonging and graphic nostalgia.
Acrylic paint, resin, plaster, walnut extract and acrylic resin on 100% cotton canvas. Canvas dimensions 63x60 cm (the painting area is about 3 cm less on the sides). Signed on the front "CC26".
