# E. Bouquiaux Gent – antique aneroid wall barometer with thermometer – 1890–1900
Antique aneroid wall barometer with integrated thermometer, signed E. Bouquiaux, Optician, Ghent.
The barometer is mounted in a richly carved dark wooden cabinet with decorative wood carving. The round dial has a pierced central opening revealing the mechanism and is equipped with French weather indications such as Tempête, Pluie ou Vent, Variable, Beau Temps and Très Sec.
On the dial is written “E. Bouquiaux – Opticien – Gand”, referring to the Ghent optician E. Bouquiaux.
Above the barometer there is a thermometer with a Celsius scale. The thermometer and barometer respond.
