Biography:
Daniela Scanu, born in Brescia in 1976, since childhood she has shown a strong creative aptitude, which led her to study in the fashion and drawing fields. She attended the “ipsia Fortuny” institute in Brescia, earning a diploma as a designer and costume designer.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, which allowed her to become an international judge of pole sport and a sports instructor.
She has taught for many years at sports centers and dance schools:
Pole sport, aerial hoop, yoga, Caribbean dances, oriental dances, ballroom dancing, yoga.
Thanks to her great tenacity and determination, she has achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most important, we recall:
1st place in Tortosa, Spain at the "WSG 2019",
2nd place in Finland at the "Championship 2019".
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that quiet love which, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, deepening specifically in artistic nude, portraiture, conceptual photography.
Daniela Scanu’s photographic world is able to astonish and enchant the viewer; her particular sensitivity and powerful expressive sense reach a point of strong convergence between artistic photography and painting and sculpture.
The ability to translate a body into universal iconographies through which emotions and personal introspection travel.
The human body becomes the vehicle of the soul’s transportation, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
