Decorative lizard / gecko – sculptural object with a long tail

An striking and unusually decorative object in the shape of a large lizard or gecko, made of gold-colored metal, presumably cast iron.

The creature is beautifully rendered in three dimensions and features a beautifully elongated silhouette. Especially the very long, gracefully curved tail gives the piece a lot of character. Across the body, scales and skin textures are applied, while the broad legs, toes, eyes and head are also nicely detailed.

Thanks to its gold-colored brass appearance and exotic design, this lizard fits excellently within Hollywood Regency, bohemian, maximalist, and eclectically styled interiors. Beautiful as a standalone decorative object on a table, sideboard, or in a collection of curios.
