Description from the seller
Fil Rouge #12 (2026)
Acrylic, colored pencils and embroidery on canvas
50 × 50 cm
Fil Rouge #12 is part of a series inspired by the symbol of the red thread of destiny—the ancient legend that two people who are meant to meet are connected by an invisible thread, capable of withstanding time, distance, and adversity.
In this work, two hands clasp each other in a gesture that is both simple and intense. The red thread, embroidered directly onto the canvas, winds across the fingers without imprisoning them: it unites them, making visible what is normally hidden. The embroidery is not merely decorative but an integral part of the narrative, transforming an intangible symbol into a tangible presence.
The composition, deliberately minimalist, focuses attention on the dialogue between bodies and the meaning of the human bond. The delicacy of the skin tones contrasts with the chromatic strength of the red, creating a balance between fragility and permanence.
The item will be sold frameless, rolled in a professional tube.
