Cyril Keller - Sonnenschleier

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978, in Saarland.

My artistic journey began in the early 1990s when I discovered graffiti art for myself. From around 1993 to the end of the 1990s, graffiti was my great passion. During this time, my enthusiasm for colors, shapes, and creative expression developed—the foundation of my painting today.

In 2015 I found my path to abstract art. It opened up a completely new creative world for me, a world that continues to inspire me to this day. Since then, I have dedicated myself with great passion to abstract painting and continuously experiment with new techniques, color compositions, and image structures.

I am particularly fascinated by the unique forms and textures created by the scraper technique. Each painting is a new journey of discovery for me, where intuition, creativity, and experimentation come together. As a self-taught artist, I love continuously evolving and finding new ways to bring emotion and dynamism onto the canvas.

Today I deliberately take more time for my art than ever before and look to the future with enthusiasm. My goal is to create works that move people, spark their imagination, and bring them lasting joy.

For me, the most beautiful thing about abstract art is its openness. Every viewer discovers something of their own, bringing their personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences into a painting, allowing it to affect them in a uniquely individual way. It is precisely this connection between the artwork and the viewer that makes abstract painting so special to me.
