Description from the seller
Impulse
Mixed media on linen canvas – 82 × 82 cm (2026)
Impulse integrates the Where the Abstract and Nature Merge series, a set of works that explores the relationship between the animal world, contemporary abstraction, and the spontaneous language of urban art.
In this composition, an animal figure emerges at the center of the work through a fragmented and gestural construction, surrounded by layers of color, lines, stains, drips, and spontaneous interventions. The form is not presented in a fully defined way, allowing the figure to dissolve partially into the abstract environment and for the observer to visually complete what remains suggested.
The composition is marked by strong contrasts between earthy tones and elements of more intense color, creating different points of tension and movement. The drawn lines, rapid gestures, and drips reinforce the sense of impulse and spontaneity, while the texture of the linen canvas itself remains visible and contributes to the work's organic character.
The dispersed words and phrases across the surface — such as “Flow,” “Grow,” “Live to Die,” and “Move On” — function as fragments of thought, introducing an emotional and narrative dimension. Between growth, movement, transformation, and impermanence, the work establishes a relationship between animal instinct and human experience.
The balance between figure, abstraction, and writing creates an open composition to various interpretations. Impulse aims to represent not only a form, but above all an energy: the instinctive movement that precedes thought and leads to action.
Each detail was executed by hand, making this an original and unique work, with no reproductions.
Technique: Mixed media on linen canvas (acrylic, spray, markers and other materials).
Year: 2026
Dimensions: 82 × 82 cm.
