Hypnosis explores the power of the gaze as an element of attraction, presence and influence. The central figure emerges fragmented between different visual planes, creating a tension between realistic representation and a composition built from geometric shapes, patterns and graphic interventions.
The eyes take a central role in the work. Direct and intense, they establish an immediate relationship with the observer, creating the sensation that the painting returns the gaze to whoever contemplates it. It is in this silent confrontation that the idea of hypnosis arises: a state in which attention is progressively captured and the exterior seems to lose importance.
The predominance of turquoise and blue tones creates an atmosphere that is simultaneously cold and enveloping. In contrast, the warm tones of the skin, the reds of the lips and the earthy elements introduce points of tension and break the chromatic uniformity of the composition.
Geometry functions as a fragmentation structure. Different planes seem to overlap and interrupt the figure, while spontaneous lines and elements inspired by graffiti language add an urban and gestural dimension. The result is an image where order and spontaneity coexist.
Hypnosis questions how we are captured by an image and by the gaze of the other. Between attraction and discomfort, the work transforms the act of observing into a reciprocal experience — the observer also becomes part of what is being observed.
