Distortion is a three-dimensional exploration of perception, movement, and visual fragmentation. Built from hundreds of individually arranged elements, the sculpture transforms a rigid geometric grid into a dynamic surface that appears to bend, ripple, and shift.

From the frontal perspective, the repetition of modules creates an ambiguous image where depth, rhythm, and shadow continually overlap. As the viewer moves, the composition reveals new alignments, spaces and interruptions, making the perception of the work an unstable, ever-changing experience.

One of the piece's central elements is its dual reading: the sculpture can be observed and appreciated from both sides. Each face presents its own visual configuration, allowing the work to reveal itself differently depending on the observer's position. Thus, the object does not have a single privileged viewpoint, but invites a spatial and continuous experience.

The contrast between black, earthy tones, warm ochres and metallic accents reinforces the tension between structure and movement. What initially seems to be a precise and organized system gradually transforms into an almost organic and unpredictable composition.

Distortion reflects on how we construct what we see—and how easily a seemingly stable image can be altered simply by changing our point of view.
