Signed two-piece enamel dial with recessed decentral seconds, Arabic numerals, original Louis XV hands, mineral glass, all in very good undamaged condition.
The gilded bridge work is produced according to Glashütte quality features. Gold escape wheel and gold escape wheel, swan neck with engraved balance cock, compensated balance with screwed gold weights and blued Breguet hairspring. Ruby bearing jewels, signed Glashütte Nr. 87049 Chronometer Alpina.
The movement is in very good condition.
Around 1909 the Swiss company Union Horlogère established in Glashütte the “Präcisions-Uhrenfabrik Alpina Glashütte G.m.b.H.”. From 1910 this produced precision pocket watches under the signature “Präcisions-Uhrenfabrik Alpina Glashütte i/S” using very high-quality Swiss raw movements. The movements were finished with the typical Glashütte quality features, such as the engraved balance cock, the characteristic Glashütte balance spring securement, the compensated balance with the gold screws, and the Glashütte gold escapement with hidden jewels, very finely completed.
