There are those who chase productivity. And then there is Gaston Lagaffe.
In Error 404 : Motivation Not Found, SKE propels the most famous anti-hero of the comic book into a setting saturated with contemporary codes: industrial signage, digital fragments, danger pictograms, system errors, XXL typography and walls marked as an urban zone filtered through street art.
The contrast works immediately. Gaston stays true to himself: relaxed, insolent, almost proud not to fit into the machine. Around him, everything speaks of efficiency, level, alert, procedure and control. He answers with his preferred language: the pause. The pixelated little dinosaur, the mentions "Level 1", "Error 404" and the reference to radiation transform the scene into an intentional visual bug, somewhere between comic culture, arcade aesthetics and industrial display.
SKE does not treat Gaston here as a simple nostalgic icon. He makes him dialogue with our era: that of notifications, constant performance and systems that want everything to work. Gaston becomes the perfect grain of sand, the one that reminds us that sometimes doing nothing is already a form of resistance.
A piece designed for collectors who enjoy recognizing a cult reference at first glance, then discovering everything at play behind it. Because a good bug has never been so well framed.

- FRAMING TIPS

Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.

Upon receipt, carefully remove it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it can naturally regain its shape before framing.

ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in DIY or decoration stores.

Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and economical, they showcase the artworks perfectly.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-rounder who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic works.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also made a mark in the digital artwork market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style now indispensable.

SKE is without a doubt an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.

Awarded & Recognized Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY The work of SKE fits into a prestigious lineage. His line reveals the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to bring them into a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics and comics is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), via the Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXE, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style reminiscent at times of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The symbol of the Dollar sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the "Hype" aesthetic: you meet sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes recalling the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This piece is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
