- About the work:
"ULURU"
Acrylic on canvas
50 × 50 cm

Cropline Series
Signed top right
Year 2026
The Cropline series was born from a reflection on everyone's journey.
The destination point is symbolized by a landmark, while the intertwining lines evoke detours, choices, obstacles and encounters that build a life path.
No trajectory is perfectly straight. Some lines cross, loop back on themselves or diverge before returning to their direction, like our own experiences.
Each work bears the name of a real place, not to offer a faithful representation, but to convey a sensation, an energy or an emotion through an original graphic composition.
In Uluru, the lines stretch toward the sacred Australian monolith, guiding the eye through a landscape where geometry and light respond to each other. The curves of the road meet the mineral power of Uluru, creating a balance between the path traveled and the one still to be invented, between orientation and freedom..
- About the artist:
Frédéric Truteau is a self-taught painter born in Marseille in 1970. He currently lives near Aix-en-Provence.
Through his different series, he explores varied graphic universes where each project develops its own visual language.
With Cropline, he purposely moves away from his street art creations to offer a more minimalist exploration, built around the idea of a journey. The lines become a metaphor for the paths each person takes, the decisions, detours and encounters that shape an existence.
His work blends geometric abstraction, bold colors and cultural references to create works with multiple levels of meaning: immediately accessible by their aesthetics, they also invite the viewer to project their own story.
Each canvas is handmade and unique.
