Rafael Alberti - Degli angeli [with original drawing] - 1966-1966

Book of poems by Rafael Alberti, the Spanish poet exiled in Italy during Franco's dictatorship, which was gifted by him to the "Prima Ballerina of La Scala in Milan" Gilda Maiocchi on 14/3/68 during a stay of the artist and poet in Milan. The book has a unique drawing by the master in original with autograph, dedication, date and place. There are two other signatures not better identified on the same page, which will surely be a pleasant search to undertake for the new owner of this book. The book testifies, beyond its undeniable cultural value, to the possible encounter between a man and a woman, both of national stature and importance in their respective artistic disciplines.
