Description from the seller

Set of 3 Bernardaud Limoges “Macouba” Porcelain Pitchers – France

Offered is a set of three Bernardaud Limoges porcelain pitchers/jugs from the Macouba collection, decorated with a distinctive and colourful stylised botanical and coral-inspired design.

Each pitcher is crafted in fine white Limoges porcelain and has the characteristic architectural, faceted form of the Macouba design, with angular spout, tall rectangular body and elegant handle. The colourful decoration features stylised leaves, flowers and coral-like motifs in shades of blue, red, green, black and ochre, contrasting beautifully with the white porcelain.

The undersides are marked:

BERNARDAUD
LIMOGES
FRANCE
– MACOUBA –
Lumière des ombres
éclats des coraux

The three pitchers form a particularly attractive matching set and can be displayed together or used individually for serving. Their sculptural shape also makes them striking decorative objects.
