I wanted to keep that feeling of complete relaxation, but place it inside a composition that feels bold and contemporary. The long black silhouette stretches across the canvas almost like an abstract shape, while the orange and soft white stripes create rhythm, warmth and a slightly playful tension.

For me, the painting is about allowing yourself to disappear from the noise for a while. No urgency, no productivity, no need to react — just that small, stubborn moment of being unavailable to the world.

I deliberately kept the forms simple and left the brushwork visible, so the surface still feels handmade and imperfect rather than overly polished. The result sits somewhere between figurative painting and graphic abstraction.

She often works with animals, everyday scenes and Mediterranean-inspired colour, using them as a starting point for paintings that feel playful at first glance but carry a quieter emotional layer.
