Ed Mittendorf (Mivillage), Floating Circles, a 37 × 37 cm collage from 2026, an original edition, signed on the back, sold framed.
Description from the seller
I am Ed Mittendorf, an artist, 84 years old, working under the name Mivillage, and I lived, worked, and exhibited for 18 years in France. I now live and work permanently in the Netherlands.
My works back then were designed in the 'NUL' style of the 1960s, when artists Arnando, Jan Henderikse, Henk Peters, and Jan Schoonhoven became known. Internationally, the style is 'ZERO'.
These new black-and-white collages give a distinctive graphic interplay of lines and circles. The works are mounted in a luxurious box frame. Each artwork is original and signed on the back. The circles are placed on a single plane and create a floating effect. The size is 37 cm wide by 37 cm long and 6 cm high. Signed on the back; signing on the front would mar the presentation.
I also create, among other things, the 'CrinckleArt' in the Mondriaan 3D series. Each work is UNIQUE, and I have developed and executed this technique myself.
This work is very well received in Europe, and so far more than 1,000 unique works have been sold. Each component is unique and hand-painted on paper, after which the work is distorted (CrinckleArt) with various resins and specially dried into a strong and glossy artwork. The works are mounted in a luxurious box frame. The size is 37 cm wide by 37 cm long and 6 cm high. Each artwork is original and signed on the back. Signing on the front would mar the presentation.
