Description from the seller
I am Ed Mittendorf, an artist aged 84, working under the name Mivillage, and I lived, worked, and exhibited for 18 years in France. I now live and work permanently in the Netherlands.
My works were designed in the “NUL” style from the 1960s. Back then the artists Arnando, Jan Henderikse, Henk Peters and Jan Schoonhoven became known. Internationally the style is called “ZERO”.
These new black-and-white collages give a distinctive graphic interplay of lines and circles. The works are mounted in a luxury deep frame. Each artwork is original and signed on the back. The circles are placed on one level and create a floating effect. The size is 37 cm wide by 37 cm long and 6 cm high. Signing on the back; signing on the front would spoil the presentation.
I also create, among other things, the "CrinckleArt" in the Mondrian 3D series. Each work is UNIQUE and I developed and executed this technique myself.
This work has been very well received in Europe, and so far more than 1,000 unique works have been sold. Each component is unique and hand-painted on paper, and afterward the work is distorted (CrinckleArt) with various resins and specially dried to create a strong and glossy piece of art. The works are mounted in a luxury box frame. The size is 37 cm wide by 37 cm long and 6 cm high. Each artwork is original and signed on the back. Signing on the front would spoil the presentation.
