Portrait with Objects arises from a personal search: to represent identity beyond physical appearance. Although a figure occupies the center of the composition, the work does not aim to faithfully reproduce a face, but to build a symbolic portrait from shapes, colors, and objects tied to my intimate universe.
Each element functions as an extension of my memory and my way of observing the world. The bottle, the glass, the red sphere, and the geometric structures surrounding the figure do not appear as simple components of a still life, but as fragments of an identity. They are silent presences that speak of experiences, emotions, roots, and moments.
The face, divided into planes of color and crossed by strong contrasts, reflects the multiple dimensions of the self: what we show, what we protect, and what remains hidden. The frontal gaze establishes a direct connection with the viewer, while the cubist fragmentation allows different facets of the same person to be gathered within a single image.
Deep blues suggest introspection and serenity; reds convey strength, passion, and determination; and light tones bring balance and openness. In this way, color also becomes a form of emotional self-representation.
Portrait with Objects is, therefore, a portrait built through symbols and sensations.
