Norwegian pair of bridal spoons.
Two wooden spoons connected to each other by a wooden chain. The spoon bowl is curved and oval. The shaft has a short, narrow connecting piece that transitions into a larger, almost rectangular openwork head.
The openwork pattern in the head portion of the shaft consists of two larger and two smaller heart-shaped openings arranged in a cross shape at the center. The chain consists of 11 links with a square cross-section and a loop at each end.
The whole is hand-carved from a single piece of wood.
The spoons are each 17 x 6 x 2 cm.
