Description from the seller

Opera: Refined and authentic oil painting on panel, signed and dated by the author.
Title of the work: "Gita nel parco" (as clearly indicated in the original certificate of authenticity applied to the back).
Author: Raffaele Capozzi (Italian artist of the 20th century).
Year of execution: 1983.
Technique: Oil on wooden panel (plywood).
Dimensions (framed): 73 x 53 cm.
Dimensions (unframed): 58 x 30 cm (Note: please rely on these actual measurements, as the certificate of authenticity wrongly states the dimensions as "50 x 70" in material terms, as visible in the photo).
Condition: The work is in excellent conservation state. The painting surface is stable, sound and well preserved. On the back are present the author's autograph signature, the date, the phrase "Per autentica" and the original certificate of authenticity in compliance with the law (Law 1062 of 20-11-1971), complete with the gallery/expert’s stamp and signature from the period. The painting is set in a fine gilded and decorated frame that enhances its beauty (the frame should be considered a homage and may show slight signs of age).

Splendid figurative composition in a bucolic and landscape style signed by Master Raffaele Capozzi. The work captures with great lyricism and delicacy a serene countryside life scene outdoors.

In the foreground, a lush, flowering meadow frames a group of traditional figures and a flock of grazing sheep, immersed in an atmosphere of quiet and harmony with nature. In the background, the gaze opens to a stretch of water and mountain profiles under a sky with soft clouds and subdued light. The painting technique is masterful, characterized by a textural brushstroke yet attentive to chromatic details, capable of conveying the texture of fabrics, the softness of the animals’ fleece, and the brightness of the outdoor landscape.

A piece of value for collectors of Italian figurative and landscape painting of the 20th century, ideal for enriching any prestigious setting.

Authenticity: The work is guaranteed to be authentic and original in every part. On the back of the painting are present:
1. The artist’s Autograph signature "Raffaele Capozzi" accompanied by the date "1983".
2. The artist’s autograph dedication: "Per autentica".
3. The original certificate of authenticity in compliance with the law (L. 1062 of 20-11-1971), complete with stamp and signature, certifying its provenance and authorship.

Conditions: The work is in excellent conservation state, with an integral painting surface. The painting is placed in a gilded and ornate frame that enhances its beauty (the frame is a courtesy and may show slight aging signs).

Artistic and Iconographic Description
This splendid work represents an excellent example of Raffaele Capozzi’s figurative painting. The painting, bearing the artist’s original signature, captures with great technical skill a serene bucolic scene.

The composition is meticulous down to the smallest detail: a flowering meadow welcomes figures in traditional dress and a grazing flock, while in the background the horizon opens onto a water body and mountain profiles, rendered with warm, enveloping light. The painterly matter is laid on with confidence, demonstrating the author’s experienced hand in handling volumes and landscape perspective.

Acquiring this work means adding an authentic and original piece to one’s collection, direct testimony of Capozzi’s work, accompanied by all the documentation necessary to certify its validity.

Provenance: Private collection.
Conditions: Good general condition given its age. Please carefully view the photographic gallery (which forms an integral part of the description) to assess the details and the original patina.

Shipping: The work will be packed with the utmost professional care and shipped via traceable express courier. Given the importance and delicacy of the frame, special anti-shock material will be used.
