Oval metal frame in gold color, with a decorative zigzag pattern in burgundy and gold tones on the bridge and temples. The lenses are green and the temple tips are brown.

Marks “MISSONI”, “frame italy” and the size 140, referring to temple length in millimeters, are legible. The annotated photograph reports a width of about 13 cm and a height of about 3.8 cm.

Vintage frame from before 2000, never worn, sourced from a company liquidation at an optician that has ceased activity. It is equipped with new sunglasses lenses, CE marked. Signs of preservation and yellowing of the nose pads are visible; consult the photographic details.

No accessories are present in the photographs.

AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION

Condition and authenticity verification are central to our activity. Jewelry in gold and silver, silverware, watches, clothing and accessories signed are examined according to the characteristics of the individual item and the available documentation.

Any certificates or expert reports are provided when explicitly indicated in the description or can be requested before bidding, agreeing on availability, content and possible costs. The Catawiki expert review is separate from our expert assessment and does not replace an individual certificate.

Description and photographs document the proposed item, its accessories and stated conditions. For used or vintage items, signs of wear and age are assessed in relation to the nature, era, and condition of the item. Photographs complement the description without limiting responsibility for inaccurate characteristics or undisclosed defects.

Only accessories and documents expressly indicated are included. The brands mentioned belong to their respective owners; their mention identifies the objects and does not imply affiliation or authorization by the house.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized with methods compatible with materials and preservation, then carefully packaged.

Shipping is traceable and insured according to the service terms used. Items may be located in different warehouses: approximately 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for special destinations or customs delays. Shipping will occur within the terms provided by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not constitute an extension of the shipping term.

Upon receipt, check the packaging. In case of dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. We recommend photographing the package before and after opening and keeping the packaging, protective materials and label to facilitate any insurance verifications.

The absence of reservation, photos or packaging does not automatically determine the loss of the consumer’s non-derogable rights. In consumer sales, the risk of transport is governed by art. 63 of the Consumer Code.

ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS

For any clarification or problem, contact us via the order messaging on Catawiki, indicating the lot number and describing what you found.

In case of damage, item not in conformity with the description or missing content, promptly report the problem also to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within 3 days as provided by platform procedures, to enable claims management and possible suspension of payment.

This operational term does not entail forfeiture of the right of withdrawal or of the legal warranty under applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL

When the purchaser acts as a consumer and the legal requirements are met, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without motivation within 14 days from receipt of the good, pursuant to arts. 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to exceptions provided by law.

The decision must be communicated by an explicit declaration to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The goods must be shipped back within 14 days of the withdrawal notice.

For simple reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the purchaser, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts due by law, including standard initial delivery costs, will be refunded; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the purchaser are not due.

Refunds are made without undue delay and within legal deadlines, with the possibility of suspending it until receipt of the item or proof of return, according to legal provisions. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to respective competences, without prejudice to non-derogable rights.

The purchaser is responsible for any diminution in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within legal limits.

LEGAL GUARANTEE AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY

In consumer sales, the legal conformity warranty provided by arts. 128 and following of the Consumer Code applies, also to used goods, taking into account prior use and contractually stated characteristics.

The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and allowed by applicable law.

In case of a defect of conformity, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where feasible, or a reduction in price or contract termination when conditions apply.

Our commercial preference is to resolve well-founded disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund when appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.

When return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary expenses are borne by us under the terms of the law. Expenses for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions.

RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM

Before carrying out repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agreement on the solution. Unauthorized interventions can alter the original state, compromise verifications and affect responsibility for damages or defects caused by them.

Automatic refunds for interventions commissioned independently by third parties are not provided. The purchaser’s non-derogable rights remain: an unauthorized intervention does not by itself entail loss of protection for defects independent of the intervention.

The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sales document. The original receipt is not the only acceptable means to prove purchase.

EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS

For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and customs charges may apply depending on the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due again.

When necessary, tax or identifying data may be requested for customs clearance. A passport number will be requested only if truly required by applicable rules or carrier/authoritative instructions.

We invite buyers to check for import restrictions in advance. For items subject to particular regulations, including CITES or cultural heritage goods, shipping remains subject to the legal possibility of export/import and the necessary documents.

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION

In cases of distance selling of valuables subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and remote identification is performed according to the modalities provided by applicable law.

If essential information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the transaction cannot be completed until regularized. Any cancellation and refund will be managed with Catawiki according to applicable regulations and conditions, without automatic exclusion of responsibility.

Personal data will be processed for contractual, fiscal, customs purposes and for applicable legal obligations, in compliance with EU Reg. 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only data necessary will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention times.
