Vintage frame from before 2000, never worn, sourced from a company withdrawal from an optician who ceased activity. It is equipped with new sunglasses lenses, CE marked. There are slight signs of storage and yellowing of the nose pads, visible in the photographs.

No accessories are present in the photographs.

AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION AND DOCUMENTATION

Verifying condition and authenticity is a central element of our activity. Jewelry in gold and silver, silverware, watches, and signed clothing and accessories are examined according to the characteristics of the individual item and the available documentation.

Any certificates or expert reports are provided when expressly indicated in the description or can be requested before placing an offer, agreeing on availability, content and any costs. The expert review by Catawiki is separate from our expert assessment and does not replace an individual certificate.

Description and photographs document the item offered, its accessories and stated conditions. For used or vintage items, signs of time and use are assessed in relation to the nature, era and condition of the item. Photographs supplement the description without restricting responsibility for inaccurate characteristics or undisclosed defects.

Only the accessories and documents expressly indicated are included. The brands mentioned belong to their respective owners; their mention identifies the objects and does not imply affiliation or authorization of the house.

PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

Each item is checked, cleaned or sanitized with methods compatible with the materials and preservation, then carefully packaged.

Shipping is tracked and insured under the service’s conditions used. Items may be located in different warehouses: approximately 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for particular destinations or customs delays. Shipping will be carried out within the terms provided by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not constitute an extension of the shipping deadline.

Upon receipt, check the packaging. In case of dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. We recommend taking photos of the package before and after opening and keeping packaging, protective materials and the label to facilitate any insurance checks.

The absence of a reservation, photos or packaging does not automatically constitute a waiver of consumer rights. In consumer sales, the risk of transport is governed by Article 63 of the Consumer Code.

ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS

For any clarification or problem, contact us via the order messaging on Catawiki, indicating the lot number and describing what was found.

In case of damage, item not as described, or missing content, promptly report the problem also to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within the 3 days provided by the platform’s procedure, to enable claim handling and possible payment suspension.

This operative term does not imply waiver of the right of withdrawal or of the statutory warranty under applicable terms.

CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL

When the buyer acts as a consumer and the legal requirements are met, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without motive within 14 days of receipt of the goods, pursuant to Articles 52 and following of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to the exceptions provided by law.

The decision must be communicated by means of an explicit declaration to the seller, also using the Catawiki procedure. The goods must be resent within 14 days of the withdrawal notification.

For mere reconsideration, the direct cost of the return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts due by law, including standard initial delivery costs, will be refunded; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not refundable.

The refund is made without undue delay and within the legal terms, with the possibility of postponing it until receipt of the goods or proof of return, according to the conditions provided by the law. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to the respective competencies, without prejudice to inalienable rights.

The buyer is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within legal limits.

LEGAL GUARANTEE AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY

In consumer sales the legal conformity guarantee provided by Articles 128 and following of the Consumer Code applies, also for used goods, taking into account prior use and the contractually declared characteristics.

The ordinary duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, not less than one year, operates only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable law.

In the presence of a conformity defect, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where practicable, or reduction of price or contract termination where the conditions apply.

Our commercial preference is to resolve warranted disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund where appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction.

When return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are borne by us within the legal terms. Fees for other cancellation hypotheses are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions.

RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM

Before carrying out repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agree on the solution. Unauthorised interventions may alter the original state, compromise verifications and impact liability for damages or defects caused.

There is no automatic refund for interventions commissioned independently to third parties. The buyer’s inalienable rights remain: an unauthorised intervention does not by itself determine the loss of all protection for defects independent of the intervention.

The returned item must include accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please include the order reference and, if available, a copy of the proof of purchase. The original receipt is not the only admissible means to prove purchase.

EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS DUTIES

For destinations outside the European Union, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and customs clearance fees may apply, depending on the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due a second time.

When required, tax or identifying data may be requested for customs clearance. The passport number will be requested only if actually needed under applicable rules or as documented by the carrier or competent authority.

We encourage buyers to check for any import restrictions in advance. For items subject to special regimes, including CITES or cultural property regulations, shipment remains subject to legal export/import possibilities and to the necessary documents.

CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION AND DATA PROTECTION

In the case of distant selling of valuables subject to identification obligations, a valid identity document is required and remote identification is performed according to the procedures provided by applicable law.

If essential information is missing to comply with a legal obligation, the operation cannot be completed until regularization. Any cancellation and refund will be handled with Catawiki according to applicable laws and conditions, without automatic exclusion of responsibility.

Personal data will be processed for contractual, fiscal, customs purposes and for applicable legal obligations, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003. Only the necessary data will be requested, with information on purposes, methods and retention times.
