Very beautiful and original antique hand-operated ship’s pump, made of solid brass. This type of pump was traditionally used as the bilge pump (the lowest part of a ship) on board, for pumping water out of the hold or for deck washing. The pump features a beautifully executed monogram “LM,” indicating the original manufacturer.
