Original work by the visual artist Ernesto Mayet Silva, Cuban-born and trained at the San Alejandro Art Academy in Havana, where he completed his studies in 2002. “REPOSO” is a work created in 2026 using acrylic on canvas, with dimensions of 54 × 46 cm. The painting represents a head at rest, interpreted through an expressionist and contemporary language. The work is characterized by a gestural and visible brushstroke, with a rich application of medium and a pronounced contrast between warm tones—ochers, earth tones, oranges and reddish hues—and blue and green tones in the surroundings.
