Description from the seller

The presence of the Star of David (Magen David) with the letters inlaid definitively confirms that this is a Jewish ritual Kiddush cup, used for sanctifying wine on Shabbat and on festivals.2. Brand Identification "SLX" and MaterialAlthough many European brands from the late 19th and early 20th centuries used heraldic symbols, the combination of the letters "SLX" inside a Star of David is typically associated with manufacturers or importers of ritual objects (Judaica) from Central or Eastern Europe (regions such as Poland, Germany or Austria-Hungary).It falls in the late 19th or early 20th century (roughly between 1890 and 1920). The stylized decorative leaf motif and the dotted lines on the cup share strong characteristics with the transition between Historical/Traditional style and the early influence of Art Nouveau. Cups with this shape and short stem proportions were very common in Central and Eastern Europe

Approximate average dimensions - 7*4*4 cm
