Denis Mihai presents Germaine, an original 2026 acrylic portrait on canvas (80 × 70 cm), hand signed with a certificate of authenticity, shipped rolled from Romania in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Germaine is a contemporary figurative portrait that combines elegance, geometric abstraction, and expressive color. The central figure is portrayed with a distinctive, almost sculptural presence, framed by an oversized dark hat that becomes the dominant visual element of the composition.
Her refined features, intense green eyes, and deep red lips create a striking contrast with the warm tones of her skin. The large emerald-green necklace and flowing dark-green dress reinforce the sense of sophistication, while the jewel-like pendant adds a focal point to the lower part of the portrait.
Behind her, a vibrant arrangement of geometric shapes and colored architectural forms creates a dynamic modernist background. Turquoise, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet interact in a rich mosaic of contrasting tones, giving the painting a decorative and almost Art Deco atmosphere.
The simplified forms, strong contours, and expressive brushwork create a balance between figurative representation and modernist abstraction. Germaine is a portrait of elegance, mystery, and individuality, evoking the atmosphere of a sophisticated woman from a timeless, imagined world.
