Yves Offret (1946 – 2004)
Norman painter
Born in 1946, Yves Offret dedicated his life to painting, developing a body of work deeply rooted in his native Normandy. His studio, located in Conches-en-Ouche, was the site of a pictorial exploration attentive to the landscapes, changing lights and atmospheres of the region.
In the 1980s, he notably exhibited at Galerie Tuffier in Les Andelys, where his work attracted the attention of an audience receptive to the poetry of his canvases. Faithful to a personal approach, Offret favors an intimate painting, where nature and scenes of life are transformed into sensitive evocations, imbued with serenity.
