Description from the seller
- FREE KINGDOM -
ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY
The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints, and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 105x165 cm (entire canvas)
Artwork Overview:
There is one kingdom adulthood never fully conquers.
Here, eyes detach from faces, crowns float without rulers and the sun takes its place among a cast of impossible beings. A monumental purple figure commands the left; at the centre, a spiked face appears assembled from a sudden thought. Nearby, a solitary eye rises from an electronic body, while two startled eyes and a red mouth wait beneath a crown that no one has yet claimed. Every rule of anatomy and perspective has vanished—yet this world feels complete on its own terms.
In The Last Free Kingdom, ARVY uses the unfiltered language of naïve art as a form of resistance: a return to the moment when an image could exist before being judged, corrected or explained. Black contours collide with electric yellow, pink, cobalt and violet, while exposed strokes, splatters and scribbled grids preserve the energy of instinct in motion. Childlike symbols meet fragments resembling machinery and control panels, placing free imagination inside an increasingly ordered, technological world.
Beneath its humour lies an adult urgency—the need to protect the inner territory where curiosity remains stronger than convention. The painting brings more than colour into a room; it carries the sensation of creative freedom still alive. This final kingdom remains open, but only to those willing to enter without rules.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.
Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.
ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.
He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
