Description from the seller
Elegant antique ring in Art Deco style, crafted in platinum and decorated with natural diamonds. The piece features an appealing openwork design with floral and geometric inspiration, characteristic of jewelry from the early decades of the 20th century. The central motif consists of a natural diamond in old mine cut, accompanied by eight small natural diamonds in rose cut. The central diamond has dimensions that allow estimating a weight of approximately 0.70 ct. As it is mounted, this weight should be considered approximate and has been calculated from its dimensions. The diamonds have the following estimated characteristics:
- Central diamond: approx. 0.70 ct
- Cut: old mine
- Estimated color: I–J
- Estimated clarity: VS
- Secondary diamonds: 8 natural diamonds in rose cut
- Estimated weight of the secondary diamonds: approx. 0.15 ct
- Total ring weight: 5.9 g
- Ring size: 10
The combination of platinum, openwork work, central old mine cut diamond, and rose-cut diamonds is characteristic of Art Deco-inspired jewelry from the early decades of the 20th century.
Estimated era: 1930s.
The color, clarity, and weight characteristics of the diamonds are gemological estimates made on the mounted piece and do not replace an independent gemological certificate.
The piece is in good condition, showing signs of wear and age typical of jewelry from this period.
