Interesting painting depicting a lively scene of hunting on horseback set in a wooded landscape. Several riders, accompanied by numerous hunting dogs, advance through the vegetation while one of the horses clears an obstacle; on the right a stag also appears, an element that heightens the narrative and dynamic character of the composition.

The scene is built with a lively and descriptive brushstroke, with particular attention to the movement of the horses and dogs and to the rendering of the natural environment. The palette alternates greens, browns and autumnal tones, with pleasant chromatic contrasts in the figures of the riders.
