About the artists
Teokon
Theo Kontaxis, better known by the pseudonym Teokon, is a Greek architect and multidisciplinary visual artist based in Athens. Born in the mid-1980s, he grew up immersed in Athens' urban culture, skateboarding and graffiti. In 2003 he moved to the United Kingdom to study architecture at the University of Brighton, graduating in 2006. It was in 2005 that his artistic approach took root somewhat accidentally, when he began engraving his own desk with a hunting knife. This experimentation quickly evolved into a rigorous practice of relief engraving and dotwork (pointillism) with a scalpel.
His work rests on the concept of subtraction: rather than adding material or paint, Teokon destroys and hollows the support to bring the work to light. Blending architectural rigor with raw sensibility, he uses unconventional surfaces and recycled materials (raw wood, old doors, plexiglass, cable spools). His creations range from meticulous relief works to large-scale installations. An active figure in the Greek contemporary scene, he regularly collaborates with art galleries, design collectives, and renowned brands in Greece.
Lune 82
Lune82 is a Greek visual artist based in Athens whose work sits at the crossroads of graffiti, mural art, graphic design, and tattooing. He discovered graffiti culture in the 1990s and began painting the streets of Athens toward the end of the decade, gradually developing a personal style centered on lettering, typography, and the writing style.
Trained in graphic design, he develops a visual approach characterized by structured lines, clear shapes, and graphic compositions that combine to create works that are both minimalist and dynamic. His work is heavily influenced by Op Art, kinetic art, and contemporary graphic aesthetics, giving rise to compositions where visual movement, rhythm, and structure take center stage.
His creations, characterized by bold shapes and strong typographic identity, extend across walls, canvases, or skin.
Over the years, Lune82 has participated in numerous graffiti and mural festivals as well as various exhibitions in Greece and internationally.
Today, his activity focuses mainly on tattooing, where he transposes his graphic language and formal research into a body-focused applied art practice. Through these different mediums, Lune82 continues an ongoing exploration of line, visual rhythm, and the energy unique to graffiti culture.
