Description from the seller
Traditional Chinese clay teapot in purple clay, known as Yixing clay (Zisha), in a matte terra-cotta brown color with a slightly rough or powdery texture.
Potter's mark: The bottom of the teapot bears a stamped square seal (seal bearing Chinese or sigillaries characters), typical of artisanal pieces identifying the workshop, the potter, or the master creator.
The seal is engraved in traditional Chinese seal script (Zhuanshu), an ancient calligraphy with geometric and angular lines used specifically for official and artistic seals.
