Description from the seller

Ancient Moroccan curved dagger (Koummya/Jambiya) with blade stamp
The piece is an authentic testament to North African craftsmanship from the Berber culture and dates from the 20th century.
Particularly noteworthy is the hand-forged blade, which in the upper area bears a rare, deeply struck forge mark (flower/rosette stamp) as a provenance sign.
Details:
• Blade: hand-forged, curved iron blade with historical patina and grinding marks as well as a visible forge stamp.
• Grip: Classic-shaped wooden grip (peacock’s tail knob). The blade-facing side and the slender rear are reinforced with decorative metal elements (brass and white metal) with geometric Berber lattice patterns.
• Sheath: Traditionally richly decorated metal sheath with the characteristically strongly flared tip and two intact carrying rings for the carrying strap.
• Condition: Honest, uncleaned original condition with signs of age and beautiful patina (see detail photos). All parts (grip, guards, rings) are solid and stable.
Total length: 42 cm
Blade: 26 cm
