A hand-painted icon of the Prophet Elijah. The icon depicts the fugitive Prophet Elijah, seated on the rocks with a raven carrying bread visible in the upper right (Elijah, according to biblical tradition, was fed by ravens during a famine). The icon is painted with gold paint and has developed some craquelure over the years.
